환상의 집밥 2016
현재 나는 미국 뉴욕즈 북동부에 거주하고 있다. 고향의 문화로부터 떨어져 있기 때문에 적어도 특정 기간 동안 문화적으로 일종의 유민으로서의 의미에 대해 생각해 보았다. 향수병과 홈리스의 차이점과 기억속에 자리잡은 공간에서의 그리운 음식과 이러한 음식에 관한 나의 경험 관해 생각해 보고자 한다. 환상의 집밥 이미지는 주어진 환경에 적응하는 전통의 번역이고, 기억을 부여잡고 있지만 또한 적응해 가는 과정이 된다.

Fantasy Home Cooking 2016
I’m currently based in upstate NY. Thus as being far away from my home culture, I can feel in some way of what it means to be a culturally displaced person, at least for this period. I want to think about the differences between being “home-sick” and “home-less”, as we all experience food in the memory and comfort food is something that comes from places that live now only in the mind. So the image of the Fantasy Home Cooking will be a translation of tradition according to circumstances.
