(미래를 위한) 태도를 물들이기 Dyeing Attitudes, for the Future
'미래를 위한 태도를 물들이기'는 바다에서 채집한 해양미생물, 특히 다양한 해조류를 바탕으로 색을 추출하는 워크숍이다. 이 프로젝트는 후쿠시마 오염수가 방류되기 전에 시작된 만큼 바다생물을 오직 식량으로 보는 인간의 태도에 대한 비판으로 드러났다. 해조류와 미세조류를 바탕으로, 이들의 색감을 염료와 염색으로 풀어내어 보는 이 워크숍에서 사용되는 섬유는 자연에서 생분해/퇴비화한다는 것을 전제로 한다.

‘Dyeing attitudes for the future’ is a workshop by Jooyoung Lee in collaboration with the Rice Brewing Sisters Production - whereby the artists extracted color based on marine microorganisms, seaweed, in particular, from the sea in Busan. As this project started before the Fukushima contaminated water was released, it manifested as a criticism of the human attitude of viewing sea creatures as food. This workshop explores the colors of various seaweed and microalgae through dyes and dyestuff, and then supposes that the fibers used are biodegradable and compostable.
