<환상부동산>프로젝트는 식민지 유적지나 지역 신화에서는 잊혀지거나 버려졌던 역사적인 유적지를 활용하는 프로젝트입니다. 장소를 팔거나 임대하지 않고 실제 부동산 중개소 업무를 모방하는 <환상부동산>프로젝트는 '대항적 투어리즘'의 전술 발견을 위한 행동/퍼포먼스를 진행하는 공간들을 탐험합니다. ‘대항적 투어리즘’이라는 용어는 작가이자 퍼포머인 Crabman에 의해 만들어진 일종의 “전술”로서 장소를 바라보는 방법을 변화시키고 패키지 산업의 유적에 대해 생각하도록 만들어졌습니다. 이러한 장소들을 방문하면서 환상부동산은 사진과 글자로 기록된 목록을 만들고 이 목록은 아무나 공짜로 이용할 수 있습니다. <환상부동산>은 올해 초반 경복궁 근처에서 사무실을 임대하여 한국 스타일 부동산처럼 운영되었고, 사무실 운영 시간에 워킹 투어를 기획하고 참여자를 초대했습니다. 이번에도 프로젝트는 투어 에이전시처럼 작동될 것입니다. 환상부동산 두번째 임시 사무실에서 제공하는 인천 투어 참여를 원하시는 분들은 다음 이메일로 연락을 주시기 바랍니다. walkerstories@gmail.com
The Fantasy Real Estate Agency is a project about utilizing historical /heritage sites which are often forgotten or abandoned, once sacred places, in ruins from colonial times or the subject of local myths. The purpose is not to sell or rent places but to imitate the practice of a real estate agency. The Fantasy Real Estate agency explores those places to make some action/performance in terms of discovering tactics for 'counter tourism’. Counter tourism is a term coined by writer and performer Crab Man, and is described as a series of "tactics” (which) are designed to transform the way you look at places and to get you thinking about the way the industry packages 'heritage'. By visiting the heritage site, the Fantasy Real Estate Agency will make an inventory of the places with documentation of photos/texts etc. The inventory will be utilized by people for free. The Fantasy Real Estate agency rented an office space near Gyungbokgung Palace to mimic the style of the Korean Real Estate Agency or Budongsan, earlier this year. During working hours, the Fantasy Real Estate Agency ran walking tours and invited audience participation. Likewise, this project will operate as a tour agency.
